About Cats and Critters at the Safari Park 2013

Conservation: From cheetahs and lions to gazelles and rhinos, the Safari Park has made its mark on the worldwide conservation of endangered species. Get the inside scoop about these amazing animals and learn what you can do to join in the conservation movement with behind-the-scenes visits, an animal feeding opportunity, and more.

  • Leisurely journey around the Asian field enclosure with an Educator Guide
  • Visits to at least two behind-the-scenes areas from the following list:
    • Lions
    • Cheetahs
    • Tigers
    • Przewalski's wild horses (feeding opportunity)

Admission

  • Admission is NOT included in the price of the Caravan Safari Adventure and is required. Please ensure each guest has a valid Admission ticket or Membership.


Age Restrictions

  • 3 (no exceptions). Children under age 3 (lap children) are no longer permitted
  • 17 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult


Capacity

  • Join-in Tour
  • Minimum: 1
  • Maximum: 10


Change / Cancel Policy

  • $15 Change fee / 5 days prior
  • $25 Cancel fee / 5 days prior
  • Changes/cancellations within 5 days of tour not permitted.


Check In

  • 10 minutes prior to tour time
  • Location: Lockers near the front entrance


Frequency

  • 11:30 AM
  • 2 Hours
  • Daily


Miscellaneous

  • Late guests will be admitted only up to 5 minutes past advertised tour time.
  • ADA: If guest uses a wheelchair, additional spaces are needed and must be reserved. Please call Reservation Sales at 619-718-3000 to complete reservation. (EVC not accessible).
  • No service animals.


Program Advisements (Mandatory)

  • No service animals
  • No tripods
  • Can be used as a mono-pod
  • No food or drink except for water
  • Medical exceptions can be made
  • No smoking
  • No restroom break
  • Only if necessary
  • No camera supplies will be provided
  • Strollers cannot be taken on tour
  • May be cancelled due to safety reasons
  • This is an all-weather event
