About Behind the Scenes: Lions at the Safari Park 2014

Venture behind the scenes at Lion Camp and tour around the perimeter of the Park’s field enclosures. Will include at least one additional behind- the-scenes visit as well as an animal feeding opportunity.

• Guided tour around the perimeter of the field enclosures
• Behind-the-scenes visit to Lion Camp

• They will see a Lion (not just empty bedrooms) as one or more will always be inside for us but there won't be a keeper or any special "interaction" with the lions

• Behind-the-scenes visit to at least one additional species: Elephants, Rhino, Okapi, Cheetahs, Somali Wild Ass, Zebras, Przewalski’s Wild Horses
• Feeding opportunity (for hoofstock species; not for cats!)

• Feeding not guaranteed, of course; as always, based on animals' behavior and willingness to participate!

• Some walking

Admission

• Admission is NOT included in the price of Behind the Scenes: Lions and is required. Please ensure each guest has a valid Admission ticket or Membership.

Age Restrictions

• 3 (no exceptions). Children under age 3 (lap children) are not permitted
• 17 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult
• Children must be able to walk as strollers cannot be taken on tour

Change / Cancel Policy

• Changes or cancellations are not permitted.

Check In

• 15 minutes prior to scheduled time
• Location: Lockers near the front entrance

• NOTE: Please allow suffient time for travel to the Safari Park, parking, and to find Check In location inside park. Allow additional time for busy peak and holiday periods.

Frequency

• Daily, year round, at various times

Miscellaneous

• Late guests will be admitted only up to 5 minutes past advertised tour time
• ADA: Please call Reservation Sales at 619-718-3000 to complete reservation.
• No service animals.
• Children must be able to walk as strollers cannot be taken on tour
• No restroom break (unless absolutely necessary)

Program Advisements

Mandatory; advise before taking payment

• Admission or Membership is separate and required
• Parking fee is not included and is paid upon arrival
• This tour/program is an all-weather event. Tour is not cancelled for inclement weather; please plan accordingly. Refunds and rescheduling opportunities are not available for inclement weather.
• Please, no large or bulky camera equipment; no tripods except as used as monopods
• For the safety of our animals, no food or beverages except bottled water

• Medical exceptions can be made

• Strollers are not permitted
• Tours and programs may be modified or cancelled due to safety reasons
