About Nighttime Surprise Safari at the Safari Park 2013

Your tour guide will get you the inside scoop as you don night vision goggles to see for yourself what the animals do after dark! Venture behind-the-scenes, meet animals up close, and see the animals in a way no one else can with state-of-the-art night vision technology. Plus, enjoy the Safari Park when few others can--at night!

  • Guided tour around the Asian field enclosures
  • Use of night vision binoculars
  • Behind-the-scenes visit to tigers
  • Elephant viewing after dark (with night vision binoculars)
  • Lion viewing after dark (with night vision binoculars)
  • Up-close animal encounter

Admission

  • Admission is NOT included in the price of Surprise Safari and is required. Please ensure each guest has a valid Admission ticket or Membership.


Age Restrictions

  • 6 (no exceptions)
  • 17 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult

Change / Cancel Policy

  • Changes or cancellations are not permitted.


Check In

  • 10 minutes prior to tour time
  • Location: Lockers near the front entrance
  • NOTE: Please allow suffient time for travel to the Safari Park, parking, and to find Check In location inside park. Allow additional time for busy peak and holiday periods.


Frequency

  • 4:30 PM
  • 2 Hours
  • Daily December 22 - January 6
  • Weekends (Friday and Saturday nights): January 11 - March 9

Miscellaneous

  • Late guests will be admitted only up to 5 minutes past advertised tour time
  • ADA
  • Send an IM Request 48 hours or more in advance to request ADA cart, otherwise, must be able to transfer from wheelchair to cart
  • ADA accessible, ability to transfer required
  • If guest cannot transfer, we will use the ADA cart
  • Tour carts cannot hold or secure a wheelchair at all so any individual participating will not be able to have their wheelchair with them. So, regardless of a guest's ability to transfer, they must also be able to walk; otherwise, a request for the ADA will need to be sent in.

Parking

  • A nominal parking fee is paid upon arrival.


Program Advisements (Mandatory)

Mandatory; advise before taking payment

  • Admission or Membership is separate and required
  • Parking fee is not included and is paid upon arrival
  • This tour/program is an all-weather event
  • Please, no large or bulky camera equipment; no tripods except as used as monopods
  • For the safety of our animals, no food or beverages except bottled water
  • Medical exceptions can be made
  • Strollers are not permitted
  • Tours and programs may be modified or cancelled due to safety reasons
