About Behind the Scenes: Cheetah & Friends at the Safari Park
Venture behind the scenes at Benbough Amphitheater to meet one of our cheetah ambassadors. Will include at least one additional behind-the-scenes visit, an up-close animal presentation with additional animal ambassadors, an animal feeding opportunity, and a look at the Park’s field enclosures.
Explore on foot and by cart to keeper-only areas.
- Animal Presentation at Wildlife Workshop (formerly known as Education Compound)
- At least two animals; one touchable, some feedable
- Feeding Opportunity (for hoof stock species--not for cats!)
- Okapi, often, but no guarantees!
- Can also be Elephants, Somali Wild Ass, Zebras, Przewalski’s Wild Horses
- A "look" at the field enclosures (mainly Asia loop; about 10 minutes)
- We may go to Africa loop if more feeding opportunities are needed, but we try to mainly do Asia loop since this is the only way to see Asia
- We want to avoid duplicating Africa Tram route, which is already included with Admission, and takes longer to drive
- BTS with a Cheetah!
- Currently held behind the scenes at the Benbough Amphitheater

Admission
- Admission is NOT included in the price of Behind the Scenes: Tigers and is required. Please ensure each guest has a valid Admission ticket or Membership.
Age Restrictions
- Minimum age is 3 years old
- No lap children permitted
- 17 and younger must be accompanied by a paid Adult
Capacity

- Maximum: 10
Change / Cancel Policy
- Changes or cancellations are not permitted.
Check In
- 10 minutes prior to scheduled time
- Location: Lockers near the front entrance
- NOTE: Please allow suffient time for travel to the Safari Park, parking, and to find Check In location inside park. Allow additional time for busy peak and holiday periods.
Frequency
- Daily, year round, at various times
Miscellaneous
- Late guests will be admitted only up to 5 minutes past advertised tour time
- Children must be able to walk as strollers cannot be taken on tour
- No restroom break (unless absolutely necessary)
Parking
- A nominal parking fee is paid upon arrival.
Program Advisements
- NO Selfie sticks
- No tripods
- No food or drink except for water
- Medical exceptions can be made
- No smoking
- No restroom break
- No camera supplies will be provided
- No large or bulky camera equipment; no tripods except as used as monopods
- Strollers cannot be taken on tour
- May be cancelled due to safety reasons
- This is an all-weather event
- Parking fee is not included and is paid upon arrival
