About Behind the Scenes: Roos & Mates at the Safari Park

Join our knowledgeable guides as they take you ‘Down Under’ to the Safari Park’s newest exhibit, Walkabout Australia. Walk among kangaroos and wallabies and encounter cassowaries in the Park’s newest adventure, Walkabout Australia. This Aussie-style safari takes you on a strolling journey through the country, mingling with kangaroos, wallabies, and magpie geese, encountering tree kangaroos in their forest canopy and weird and wonderful cassowaries, and finding out about water conservation and the traditions of sheep ranching to produce wool and yarn for weaving at the Zuest Station.

Tour includes:

• Animal Presentation at Wildlife Workshop

• Additional behind the scenes area of an Australian animal

• 60 - 90 mins of walking or standing, some parts over sloping surfaces

Admission

• Admission is NOT included in the price of Behind the Scenes Safaris and is required. Please ensure each guest has a valid Admission ticket or Membership.

Change / Cancel Policy

• Changes or cancellations are not permitted.

Check In

• 10 minutes prior to tour time
• Location: Next to Cart Safaris at Okavango Outpost. Look for the Behind the Scenes icon on our Park map (next to Africa Tram). Allow approximately 30 minutes to walk from front turnstiles.

• NOTE: Please allow suffient time for travel to the Safari Park, parking, and to find Check In location inside park. Allow additional time for busy peak and holiday periods.

Frequency

• Daily, year round, at various times

Miscellaneous

• Late guests will be admitted only up to 5 minutes past advertised tour time
• Children must be able to walk as strollers cannot be taken on tour
• No restroom break (unless absolutely necessary)

Parking

• A nominal parking fee is paid upon arrival.

• No food or drink except for water
  • Medical exceptions can be made
• No smoking
• No restroom break
• No camera supplies will be provided
• No large or bulky camera equipment; no tripods except as used as monopods
• Strollers cannot be taken on tour
